Can a Mini Voodoo mask be used on a cost "X" card? Does the X cost less than 3? Or is it a whole different category?

X means the cost is variable, its up to the one who plays it to decide how much it will cost him. So, if he payed 5 to play an avatar, you can't use the mask on it, but if he payed 3 or less, then you can.

The above statement is incorrect miniature voodoo mask can not be used on cards that do not stay in play so it would not work on avatar of the wild.

However I was under the assumption that cards that cost X and stay in play have a cost of 0 and thus can be used on a X cost card. Please correct me if Im wrong!
