OK, so I have Atani of the Watch in play with 2 health left. My opponent plays Blast Wave which deals 2 damage to each opposing hero and ally. Blast Wave creates 2 packets of damage simultaneously however, would Atani then take both packets of 2 damage or would my hero take 2 and Atani take 2?

Atani would take both packets of damage, due to its ability. It would take both packets of damage simultaneously, but they would resolve at the same time.
