Custom Costs

Unread post by duckwc » Fri Jun 03, 2011 3:29 pm

A new little feature has just been added to the tool. The purpose of this custom cost is to allow you to set a cost to cards inside your deck which is different from the default one.

To set a custom cost:
-open a deck.
-select a card from the opened deck.
-click on the cost displayed in the right panel. The custom cost is displayed between the parenthesis.

You can set custom cost on resources (quests and locations) but neither the custom cost nor the default cost are used for the mana breakdown chart generation; those costs are here only as an information on the activation cost.

The 2 following example will show a possible usage of this feature:

1. This could be used to define an arbitrary cost for a card with cost X. By default, those cards are set with a cost of 0, but in a normal situation, you could prefer casting an Avatar of the Wild for a cost of 4 at least. Setting it's custom cost to 4 will update your mana breakdown stats to reflect this change.

2. Another situation could be for some cards like Twilight Vanquisher Knolan which may get a discount on the cost in some situations.

Please feel free to comment this feature here if you think it might be improved in some way.
